Young Directions

Designed to better understand and measure the changing attitudes and activities over time of young people aged 15-24 years in Myanmar.

The primary objective is to explore young people’s self image, values and risk behaviours as well as the aspirations, expectations, opportunities and barriers that young people face in their lives and understanding how perceptions of gender affect the lives and decisions of young men and women and how gender issues fit into their social environment.

Additionally developed to evaluate the relationship that young people have with the media, and how the media shapes their outlook on the world around them

Conducted annually with 4,800 young people in 12 locations around Myanmar

It is an omnibus survey – meaning that multiple clients can subscribe to a round of the survey and add their own questions to the standard set of questions asked each round. This makes it a cost-effective vehicle for clients to collect quantitative data about young people in Myanmar.
